New born baby abandoned in a park of Athens ( english subtitles)
A 10-day-old newborn girl was found abandoned in the center of Athens.
The baby was found by a woman who told police she saw an immigrant woman breastfeeding her baby and then as soon as she fell asleep she left it on a white blanket on the ground.
The police and the rescuers were immediately notified and took it to the children's hospital where the doctors found that she was in good health.
At the moment, there are 15 children in the two children's hospitals, according to a prosecutor's decision.
The phenomenon of child abandonment in Greece has intensified during the economic crisis.
